Ten minutes writing one page about your business upgrades every conversation you have with Claude from then on.

In a browser chat, every conversation starts from zero: Claude knows nothing about you, your prices, or how you talk. So you write the zero down once. Five headings, one or two honest lines under each. This is a briefing for a new assistant, not marketing copy.

WHO I AM — [name], [company], [city]. Staging since [year]. Known for [one thing].
WHAT I OFFER — [package names], what's included, [price ranges], minimum term [days].
WHO I WORK WITH — [listing agents / investors / homeowners], typical list price [$ band], areas [neighborhoods].
HOW I TALK — [warm, direct, short sentences, first-name basis]. Words I never use: [list].
WHAT I NEVER DO — [quote a price before a walk-through, promise a sale, discuss other stagers].

Use real numbers and the real words you say on the phone. If a line feels like a brochure, rewrite it the way you would say it to a friend.

Save the document as business-context on your Desktop or in Documents. You will come back to it: every time Claude gets something wrong about your business, the fix is one more line on this page.

Start a new chat, paste the whole page, and add one line underneath it.

Use this as background for everything I ask you in this conversation. Don't invent details that aren't on this page; if you need something, ask.

Now ask for the same email you drafted in the last guide. Compare the two drafts. The second one should sound like you: your sign-off, your package names, your way of saying no. It knew because you told it once.

If you see Projects in the left sidebar, you can skip the paste. Projects are available on the free plan (up to five). Click Projects, then New Project, and name it My Business. Click Set project instructions, paste your page, and click Save instructions. Every chat you start inside that project begins with your page already loaded.

If you do not see Projects, do not worry about it. Pasting the page at the top of a chat works exactly the same way.
